Paymenter Plus: Open Source Billing for Hosting Companies, with WHMCS Migration

Paymenter is an open-source billing and automation panel built for hosting companies. It handles your clients, products and orders, raises invoices and takes payments, suspends services that go unpaid, and provides a support ticket desk. It provisions accounts on your servers through extensions: cPanel, Plesk, DirectAdmin, Enhance, Virtualizor, VirtFusion, Convoy and Pterodactyl are included, with Stripe, PayPal and Mollie for payments.
This edition includes our WHMCS migration tool: it moves your clients, services, domains, invoices and tickets from WHMCS into your new panel, and holds billing until you have checked everything and start it.

Pre-bundled with this image are

  • WHMCS to Paymenter Migration by datadrifter 1.0.0: the migration tool, built in.
  • Paymenter 1.5.9 in Docker, the official release, unmodified (database and cache on an isolated internal network with no port exposed to the internet, and the application reachable only through the proxy)
  • AlmaLinux 10: A stable and secure open source operating system.
  • MariaDB 11.4: a long-term support release of the open source database.
  • Redis: caching, sessions and the queue for background jobs.
  • Apache with PHP 8.4: serving the application inside the container.
  • Caddy reverse proxy: handles HTTPS and your free SSL certificate, and owns ports 80 and 443.
  • Docker and Docker Compose: Paymenter, its background worker, its scheduler and the database run as containers, so application updates do not require replacing the instance.

Your billing panel is installed and ready when the installer finishes. The database and the administrator account are created for you, and the administrator sign-in is shown once, in the summary at the end of installation. Write it down: the password is generated for your instance and is not stored anywhere you can read it back.
Billing runs from the first minute. Invoices, reminders and suspensions are produced by Paymenter’s scheduler and job queue, and both run as their own services from the start.
Paymenter sends no email until you set up outgoing mail. Mail is switched off when Paymenter is first installed, so your clients receive no invoices or reminders until you enter your SMTP server details in the admin panel.
Only three inbound ports are needed: 22, 80 and 443. The database and the cache are reachable only from inside the instance.
