OrangeHRM: Open Source Human Resource Management

OrangeHRM is an open-source HR system covering the employee record, your organisation structure and job titles, leave entitlements and requests, attendance and timesheets, recruitment and applicant tracking, performance reviews, and an employee self-service portal your staff use directly rather than going through HR for every request.
Pre-bundled with this image are

• OrangeHRM 5.9 in Docker (database on an isolated internal network with no port exposed to the internet, and the application reachable only through the proxy)
• AlmaLinux 10: A stable and secure open source operating system.
• PHP 8.4: the current supported version.
• MariaDB 11.4: A high-performance open source database.
• Apache HTTP Server: serving the application inside the container.
• Caddy reverse proxy: handles HTTPS and your free SSL certificate, and owns ports 80 and 443.
• Docker and Docker Compose: the application and its database run as containers, so application updates do not require replacing the instance.

 
Your HR system is installed and ready when the instance finishes starting. There is no setup wizard to complete and no database screen. The database, the schema and your administrator account are created for you, and the sign-in details are shown once, in the summary at the end of installation. Write them down: they are generated for your instance and are not stored anywhere you can read them back.
OrangeHRM signs in with a username, not an email address. The installer tells you what it is. The work email on the account is a placeholder that cannot receive mail, and changing it to your own should be the first thing you do.
The exact OrangeHRM version is fixed in the image. It is verified by checksum before it is unpacked, so every instance of a given build is running exactly the same code.
