NEW Use your own domain name with a free SSL certificate: run one command, sudo egl-setup-domain.sh.x, and enter your domain. A free Let’s Encrypt certificate is requested automatically and renews itself from then on. No email address is required and no configuration files need editing.

NEW Automatic HTTP to HTTPS redirect once a domain is associated, so visitors reach the secure address whichever they type.

NEW Reverse proxy included: TLS is handled by a Caddy proxy in front of Mautic, so certificates survive application updates and container restarts instead of needing to be reinstalled.

IMPROVED Correct links in emails: Mautic now generates links using your own domain and https, including links inside the emails it sends. Previously these could be built from the instance address.

IMPROVED Installation no longer depends on a single image source. If one source is unavailable the installer falls back to others automatically, so a new instance can still be built.

IMPROVED MariaDB pinned to 11.4.13, so every new installation gets a known, tested database version.

IMPROVED Clearer installation messages, including a check that your domain points at the instance before a certificate is requested. This avoids the rate limit that follows repeated failed attempts.

NEW Mautic 7.1.3: upgraded from the Mautic 5 series to Mautic 7, bringing the current feature set and security fixes.

NEW Containerized application: Mautic and MariaDB now run as Docker containers. Application updates can be delivered without replacing the AMI.

NEW Alma Linux 10 (Latest): the host operating system moves from AlmaLinux 9 to AlmaLinux 10, with all critical patches applied.

IMPROVED MariaDB 11.4 on an isolated internal network. The database is no longer reachable from the internet and port 3306 does not need to be opened.

IMPROVED PHP 8.2 with hardened settings.

IMPROVED Hardened Security:  Implemented additional security measures, including the latest CVE patches, to protect against emerging threats and vulnerabilities.

IMPROVED Package Updates: All packages have been updated to the most recent stable versions, ensuring improved compatibility and reliability.

FIXED Database readiness on first boot: a fresh installation now waits for the database to accept connections rather than failing on a cold volume.

FIXED Failed installations now clean up after themselves and retry on the next start, instead of leaving the instance in a stuck state.
