NEW Upgraded to ERPNext 16, the current release, on Frappe Framework 16, with Frappe HR 16, Payments and Frappe Helpdesk.

NEW Containerized build on AlmaLinux 10, replacing AlmaLinux 9. ERPNext runs on Frappe’s own container images, with its workers, scheduler, database and caches as separate services, so an application update no longer means replacing the instance.

NEW Your ERP is installed and ready when the installer finishes. The database, your site and every bundled app are created for you. When you first sign in, ERPNext’s setup wizard asks for your company, country and currency.

NEW Free SSL and your own domain in one command. Run egl-setup-domain.sh.x and a certificate is obtained and renewed automatically. No email address is required and no configuration files need editing.

NEW Automatic HTTP to HTTPS redirect once a domain is associated, and a reverse proxy in front of the application, so certificates survive application updates and restarts. ERPNext is also told its new address, so links in the emails it sends point to your domain.

NEW Frappe Helpdesk is installed and ready, together with the Telephony app it requires.

FIXED Background jobs run from the first minute. The workers and the scheduler run as their own services and restart automatically, so scheduled tasks, outgoing email and queued work are processed from the start.

FIXED Every bundled app is confirmed installed before the installation finishes.

IMPROVED MariaDB 11.4, a long-term support release.

IMPROVED The database is not reachable from outside the instance. It runs on an isolated internal network with no published port.

IMPROVED A unique administrator password is generated for every instance and shown to you once.

IMPROVED Each application is fixed to an exact release in the image, so every instance of a given build runs the same code.

IMPROVED The installer checks that the instance has enough memory before it starts, and swap space is added automatically when the instance starts.

IMPROVED Installation no longer depends on a single download source. If one is unavailable the installer falls back to others automatically.

IMPROVED Clearer installation messages, including how long the installation takes, and a check that your domain points at the instance before a certificate is requested.

IMPROVED AlmaLinux 10 with current patches, replacing AlmaLinux 9.

REMOVED Firewalld is no longer listed. In the container model the database and caches have no published port for it to protect, and the recommended inbound port list does that job.
