NEW Upgraded from Odoo 17 to Odoo 19 Community. Odoo supports its three most recent versions, so Odoo 17 loses support when Odoo 20 is released. This build moves the product to a version with a full life ahead of it.

NEW The accounting reports Odoo Community does not include, installed and ready on first login: General Ledger, Trial Balance, Aged Partner Balance, Journal Ledger, Open Items, VAT report, and customer and supplier statements. Every one exports to Excel. These are the community-maintained OCA modules, licensed under AGPL-3, at fixed and recorded versions.

NEW Containerized build: Odoo now runs in Docker on AlmaLinux 10. The application and its database are containers, so an application update no longer means replacing the instance.

NEW Free SSL and your own domain in one command. Run egl-setup-domain.sh.x and a Let’s Encrypt certificate is obtained and renewed automatically. The tool also locks the address Odoo records for itself, so it cannot revert.

NEW Your Odoo is ready when the instance finishes starting. The database and your administrator account are created for you, so there is no database creation screen and no master password to choose.

FIXED The documentation link printed during installation now points to this product’s guide. The previous build sent customers to the Odoo 19 guide.

FIXED Chat, live notifications and other real-time features now work. The previous build routed them to an address Odoo stopped using at version 16, so nothing reached the service behind it.

FIXED PDF reports print with correct headers, footers and page numbering.

IMPROVED The database is no longer reachable from the internet. It runs on a private network inside the instance, and ports 5432, 8069 and 9090 no longer need to be open. The recommended inbound ports are now only 22, 80 and 443.

IMPROVED Python 3.12 and PostgreSQL 16, both fixed in the image.

IMPROVED Attachments and documents are stored separately from the application, so they are untouched when the application is updated.

IMPROVED The exact Odoo version is fixed in the image and recorded in it, along with the version of every accounting module. Previously each instance downloaded whatever was current on the day it was launched, so no two were alike.

IMPROVED Installation no longer depends on a single download source. If one is unavailable the installer falls back to others automatically.

IMPROVED AlmaLinux 10 with current patches, replacing AlmaLinux 9.
